David Newland - Friday, November 11
Hi all;
I'm pleased to announce that singer/songwriter David Newland will be performing at a special Remembrance Day house concert, with the theme "Lest We Forget."
David is a Toronto-based performer, web guy, photographer, and good soul who feels a deep connection with Canada and being Canadian. Part of that connection is a deep respect for the people who've sacrificed their lives so that ours could be better. On November 11, we will remember them at a special house concert. David will be combining songs with spoken word pieces from his uncle's World War II journals.
David will be performing with Alex Cheung (violin) and Steve McNie(bass, cello, accordion).
The details:
Friday, November 11, 2005 @ 8:00pm
Doors open at 7:30 (and this time we'll be starting right at 8!)
Where: my living room in beautiful downtown Burlington
Tickets: $15
BYOB, non-smoking
Non-alcoholic drinks and munchies will be provided
Drop me an email at trubblemaker_76@yahoo.com if you're interested in attending.
This should be a great night.
Cheers,
Rachel
